At Shawlands Dental Care, we appreciate that a beautiful smile is only one aspect of your facial appearance.

Many of our patients are seeking ways to revitalise their overall look, including the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.

That is why we offer a range of facial aesthetics treatments to help our patients look younger and feel better, boosting their self-confidence.

What is involved in facial aesthetics treatment?

Facial aesthetics treatments involve injecting small amounts of a product into the skin or muscles of the face to add extra volume to the skin.

Both treatment types provide similar results — a visibly younger, fresher appearance with fewer lines and creases.

Facial aesthetics appointments typically take 15-60 minutes depending on the number of areas you would like to target.

Does it hurt?

No. You may be offered a topical anaesthetic to reduce potential discomfort during the procedure.

Any tenderness you may experience should be minimal and subside after a short time.

Are these products safe?

Yes. All our facial aesthetics treatments have undergone stringent testing to ensure they are safe to use. Side effects can include redness, soreness, bruising, or swelling, but these are usually minimal and subside very quickly.

Will I notice the results immediately?

That depends on the type of treatment you choose. If you opt for dermal fillers, results are noticeable immediately and continue to develop over time.

This practice is honestly hands down the best I've ever been to. The staff are so friendly, warm and welcoming and the practice is very modern and clean. I hadn't been for years and am extremely phobic of the dentist…

Got my implant tooth fitted here by Dr Ahmed and Lauren. Only in my 30’s and felt self conscious about having to take my front tooth out! Once I even lost it and had to walk around with my mouth…
