Invisalign® is one of the most popular orthodontic treatment systems available, especially among adults seeking a discreet alternative to conventional metal braces.
Being much more discreet than metal braces, the Invisalign® method uses a series of clear aligners that apply continual pressure to the teeth, causing them to move into a straighter position – just like traditional braces would.
The only difference is that they’re practically invisible!
Aside from looking much better, Invisalign® braces are also much more convenient, comfortable and hygienic.
There’s no need for constant orthodontic visits to check up on progress, which means less time off work.
You can take them out to eat and clean your teeth as normal. And, because Invisalign® braces are made-to-measure, there are typically fewer mouth and gum problems you’ll have to deal with – including painful cuts and dreaded salt washes.

Invisalign treatment times vary from patient to patient, but in most cases, patients will see results within 12-18 months.
However, for more complex cases, patients will only see their smile take shape up to 24 months later, and sometimes slightly longer.
Your treatment time will vary depending on:
Compared to other orthodontic treatments – like fixed ceramic braces, for example – Invisalign is much more affordable.
Prices for Invisalign in Glasgow start at £1,500 per arch. The cost is determined by the complexity of your case and whether you decide to treat one or both (upper and/or lower) sets of teeth.
While it’s a costly treatment, it’s more than worth it if you’re serious about achieving a perfect, pin-straight smile, especially considering the advantages that come with it – such as improved comfort and cleanliness and faster treatment times.

Most patients wishing to straighten their teeth will be able to get Invisalign, but there are a few exceptions:
Patients under the age of 7 – though there are no official age limitations, we don’t recommend Invisalign for younger patients, as wearing an aligner for 22 hours a day and remembering to clean it properly and put it back in isn’t realistic for a child.
If your case is pretty straightforward, you’re responsible, and you practice good oral hygiene, you can consider yourself the ideal candidate for Invisalign in Glasgow.
As we’ve established, Invisalign may not be the best option to correct severe gaps, overcrowding, or problems with your bite, but if these problems are acute, then Invisalign could work.
We also touched on the fact that Invisalign braces only need to be worn for (a minimum of) 22 hours per day, which means you can remove your aligners to eat and clean your teeth as normal. For the system to be effective, though, you must remember to put them back in. If you’re forgetful and tend to misplace things, Invisalign may not be the best option for you.
Part of your responsibilities with Invisalign treatment is also remembering to clean your trays.
If you already keep up a good oral hygiene schedule (i.e. brushing and flossing twice per day), then this should fit seamlessly into your routine, but you may find it harder to adjust and take care of your aligners if your teeth-cleaning is inconsistent.
